Community Engagement & Equity – Model & Toolkit

The Rural City of Wangaratta’s  ‘Local Health and Wellbeing Group’ identified the need for clear guidelines to use when engaging the community on a social issue.  NESAY received  funding from Central Hume Primary Care Partnership to develop these guidelines into a user friendly ‘framework, toolkit and poster’. This resource  is available for free from NESAY’s office in Rowan Street or you can access it electronically below.

Many community organisations are limited by time and money, therefore it is important to find the most effective way to engage the community.  The framework offers strategic steps on how to make sure you get the most from engaging with the community.  By taking the time to do the ground work and find out what the community wants and how best to deliver that, you will enhance your chances of reaching those people that you want to reach.
