Your Rights and Responsibilities

  • Your dealings with this service will be treated in a confidential manner.
  • You will be encouraged to make your own decisions about your life.
  • NESAY will provide support to you which respects’ you’re right to privacy.
  • The workers are here to assist you, but will not pressure you to go in a particular direction.
  • NESAY’s code of conduct respects people’s dignity and does not take away an individual’s rights and freedoms.
  • You have the right to be free from physical, sexual, emotional and verbal abuse.
  • If NESAY cannot meet your needs they will send you to a service that can.
  • You are encouraged to get involved in the running of this service and we are interested in your suggestions on how to improve it.
  • It is your responsibility to provide the correct and necessary information about yourself and your situation to assist in providing appropriate support
  • When at NESAY you have a responsibility to respect the rights of others, including our workers, to feel safe this includes respecting the cultural backgrounds and privacy of others
  • Treat others with respect and dignity
  • Meet your responsibilities of being involved in the program as outlined by your worker
